WPTS Radio Talks With G-Eazy
Ahead of his Sunday show at the Altar Bar, rapper G-Eazy spoke with WPTS Radio’s Shawn Cooke to give us an update on his music since the last time he spoke with WPTS.
The rapper, producer and songwriter, well known for his cover of the classic Dion single “Runaround Sue” off his 2011 mixtape The Endless Summer, has recently seen an increase in collaborative music efforts with the likes of Lil B and other big names in hip-hop, all while working without a label deal.
His music, described as a “James Dean meets hip-hop vibe,” has cemented his role as a young up-and-comer in the genre with a reputation for crowd-pleasing live performances and a modesty that keeps him focused on his music and his fans more so than on fame or hype.
His Pittsburgh performance at the Altar Bar will open with performances by Rockie Fresh, Tory Lanez, Devin Miles and Kurt Rockmore on Sunday, March 30.
In the meantime, be sure to check out his interview with Shawn Cooke to learn more about his music, mindset and mission.
